Our Neighbourhood

Our Neighbourhood is a project helping to connect people and their communities. The project benefits adults (18+) of all ages who may be experiencing some feelings of isolation, and who are in need of social connection.

The project offers some group opportunities for people to join other like minded people within their local community for meetings, socials, plus learning and enrichment activities.

The Our Neighbourhood project is currently available to those residing within Scarborough, Whitby and Ryedale.

What do people say about our service?

What do people say about our service?

"What I enjoy about Stepping Out the most is that everyone is sociable; everyone really cares about each other. It gives me confidence and improves my self-esteem”.

"Although I have good family support, it is lovely to have a friend who can spend time with me, to do some of the simple things like grab a cuppa or come to a social activity group with me – I can feel my confidence growing.  We are now good friends and I think we help each other!"
